#4 Honing Your Language Leadership Skill Set

Using the NADSFL Principles of Effective World Language Programs as a foundation, this workshop will address the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that language leaders need to maximize their impact on teacher practice and student learning. Participants will extend their repertoire of instructional leadership skills by exploring active listening and coaching skills, leading through change, and dealing with resistance and conflict.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to

Articulate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions of a successful language leader
Set goals for leveraging the influence they have in their roles
Practice instructional coaching skills
Access resources for building their skills as an instructional leader
Reflect on their leadership journey.
